Make Money by Referring Customers!

How The Affiliate Program Works

The affiliate program is run by ClickBank, the retailer that sells Uncommon AdSense on my behalf. After signing up with ClickBank (it's free) and getting your ClickBank ID, all you do is send potential customers to this link:

http://YourClickBankID.uavol1.hop.clickbank.net

This kind of link is called a hoplink in ClickBank terminology. All you do is replace YourClickBankID with your own ClickBank ID. For example, this is the link that affiliate "egiguere" would refer people to my site:

http://egiguere.uavol1.hop.clickbank.net

Anyone who clicks on the hoplink gets redirected to UncommonAdSense.com, but only after ClickBank sets a browser cookie identifying the affiliate who referred the visitor to my site. If the visitor subsequently buys my book (and not necessarily on the same visit), the cookie allows ClickBank to credit the right affiliate with the sale.

As you can see, making money as a ClickBank affiliate is very easy to do. You can use your hoplink anywhere you'd put a link, such as in your email or forum signatures.

Please note that ClickBank handles all the affiliate tracking and payments, not me. Basically ClickBank deducts a fee from the customer's payment and then splits the remainder of the payment 50/50 between me and the affiliate. Payments are sent by check or by electronic fund transer twice a month.

Don't Like My Sales Page?

If you don't like my sales page, there are two alternatives available:

  1. Contact me and I'll be happy to build a different sales page for you. (I know some people don't like seeing external links on the sales pages, although I personally think they build trust.)
  2. Link directly to the ClickBank order page and bypass my sales page altogether.

If you're a better copywriter than me (not hard to do!) and the second option interests you, here's what you do. Instead of using the standard hoplink, send potential visitors to this address after you've done your pre-sell and they're ready to pay:

http://1.YourClickBankID_uavol1.pay.clickbank.net

This sends them directly to the ClickBank payment page. Replace YourClickBankID with your affiliate ID, of course. For example:

http://1.egiguere_uavol1.pay.clickbank.net
